Her career spans working with organizations ranging from agile startups to multinational corporations such as Yahoo, where she honed her expertise in project management, government and commercial sales, and operational efficiency. Talina's interdisciplinary approach integrates corporate strategies with a deep commitment to empowering communities and fostering diversity.

As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Talina brings a unique blend of discipline and strategic leadership to her work. Her military tenure included roles as a Training Supervisor and Data Network Specialist, where she managed critical communications and operational systems. Today, she leverages this experience to drive impactful initiatives for businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations.

Talina's accolades reflect her dedication and impact. She has been recognized with numerous honors, including NAACP Activist of the Year (2017), the Jefferson Award for Public Service (2020), and inclusion in the inaugural Sun Journal 20 Under 40. Her story has been featured by PBS, Yahoo, and the New York Times, highlighting her leadership in community restoration and advocacy.

In addition to leading Business Savvy LLC, Talina actively supports her local community as the co-director of the Craven County Community Bail Fund, co-founder of Young Urban Professionals of ENC, and founder of Juneteenth of New Bern. She is also a board member for the Craven Arts Council and Gallery and serves on multiple advisory committees.
